Description
A Senior Quality Manager leads the quality assurance function, developing and implementing strategies to ensure products and services meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. They manage quality systems (QMS), supervise teams, drive continuous improvement, and report on quality metrics to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Quality Leadership: Develop and implement QMS (ISO 9001, etc.), policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and improve, or simplify, ways of working.
- Compliance & Auditing: Conduct, manage, and oversee internal audits, supplier audits (CMO), and regulatory inspections.
- Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and train the Quality Assurance team, fostering a strong culture of quality.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze quality metrics, non-conformance, and customer feedback to identify trends and report performance to executive management.
- Quality Control & Safety: Ensure products adhere to legal and safety standards, and manage defect reduction.
